What to Watch: ‘Friday Night Lights’– An Appreciation (2006-11)

Clear eyes and full hearts are losing one of the best shows ever shown on TV. "Friday Night Lights," the TV version of the 2004 movie, based on the 1990 non-fiction book by H.G. "Buzz" Bissinger, comes to an end after five seasons exclusively at 8 p.m. (Central time) Wednesday, Feb. 9 on DirecTV's 101 Network. Earning more praise by critics than viewers and Emmys, "FNL" wasn't just a show about football, it was about family — traditional, workplace, extended and unexpected ones.
